MEPCO (Multan Electric Power Company) serves southern Punjab, including Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Muzaffargarh, Vehari, Khanewal, Sahiwal, Lodhran, Layyah, Rajanpur, Bahawalnagar and Pakpattan. It covers one of the largest geographic areas of any Punjab DISCO.
What makes MEPCO bills different
- Extreme summer heat: cooling demand is very high for six months of the year.
- Agricultural tube-wells: a large share of connections are agricultural (D tariff), and government relief packages for farmers often apply here.
- Rural feeders: long rural lines mean reading and supply issues can be more common, so checking your meter against the bill is important.
How to check your MEPCO bill online

- Find the 14-digit reference number printed near the top of any old MEPCO bill.
- Open our bill checker, select MEPCO and enter the number (without spaces).
- You will be sent to the official PITC MEPCO bill page, where you can view, download or print the duplicate bill.
We only check the number format and redirect you; your bill is shown by the official system.
Complaints and help
- Call the national electricity helpline 118 from your mobile phone to report faults or outages.
- For billing errors, visit your MEPCO sub-division office with the bill, your CNIC and a dated photo of your meter reading, and submit a written complaint.
- If the problem is not resolved, consumers can file a complaint with NEPRA.
Saving tips for MEPCO consumers
- Use the 12-month history on your bill to compare this month with last year.
- Keep agricultural and domestic connections separate and correctly categorised.
- See our MEPCO bill calculation guide for a line-by-line explanation.
