IESCO (Islamabad Electric Supply Company) serves Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum and Chakwal. Its consumers include government offices, large housing societies, commercial plazas, and many homes with higher sanctioned loads.
What makes IESCO bills different
- Higher-load homes: many houses have sanctioned loads above 5 kW and are billed through time-of-use meters.
- Bulk-supply societies: in some private housing societies, electricity is supplied through a bulk connection and residents receive a society bill rather than an IESCO bill.
- Rooftop solar: Islamabad and Rawalpindi have many net-metered and net-billed solar homes.
- Cold winters in the north: electric heating raises winter bills in areas like Murree and Chakwal.
How to check your IESCO bill online

- Find the 14-digit reference number printed near the top of any old IESCO bill.
- Open our bill checker, select IESCO and enter the number (without spaces).
- You will be sent to the official PITC IESCO bill page, where you can view, download or print the duplicate bill.
We only check the number format and redirect you; your bill is shown by the official system.
Complaints and help
- Call the national electricity helpline 118 from your mobile phone to report faults or outages.
- For billing errors, visit your IESCO sub-division office with the bill, your CNIC and a dated photo of your meter reading, and submit a written complaint.
- If the problem is not resolved, consumers can file a complaint with NEPRA.
Saving tips for IESCO consumers
- Use off-peak hours for heavy loads on TOU meters.
- Check import and export readings carefully if you have solar.
