HAZECO (Hazara Electric Supply Company) is one of Pakistan's newer distribution companies. It was formed by separating the Hazara division from PESCO and serves districts such as Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Battagram, Torghar and Kohistan.
What makes HAZECO bills different
- Cold climate: winters in Abbottabad, Mansehra and the upper districts are cold, so electric heating raises winter bills.
- Tourist and hill areas: hotels and guest houses in places like Nathia Gali and Naran are typically billed as commercial consumers.
- Mountain networks: weather and terrain can cause outages, especially during snow and monsoon.
How to check your HAZECO bill online

- Find the 14-digit reference number printed near the top of any old HAZECO bill.
- Open our bill checker, select HAZECO and enter the number (without spaces).
- You will be sent to the official PITC HAZECO bill page, where you can view, download or print the duplicate bill.
We only check the number format and redirect you; your bill is shown by the official system.
Complaints and help
- Call the national electricity helpline 118 from your mobile phone to report faults or outages.
- For billing errors, visit your HAZECO sub-division office with the bill, your CNIC and a dated photo of your meter reading, and submit a written complaint.
- If the problem is not resolved, consumers can file a complaint with NEPRA.
Saving tips for HAZECO consumers
- Use efficient heaters for short periods and insulate rooms where possible.
- Make sure guest houses and homes are billed under the correct tariff.
- Compare your meter reading with the bill every month.
